Our Story

Hölmetrics was born out of a deep desire to provide everyone with a healthy, life-giving place to work. Our work, and the environment in which we come to it, should both provide a conduit for our purpose as human beings and give us more life than it takes from us at the end of the day. It is built on the foundational belief that organizational performance directly correlates to our people’s well-being. Healthy employees will perform better and more consistently than unhealthy employees.
In every organization, two conversations are happening concurrently. One conversation is about employee experience. The second conversation is about operational outcomes such as profit and gross margin. The first conversation is typically relegated to Human Resources and tracked using surveys either annually or quarterly, if at all. The second conversation occurs amongst the C-level leaders of the organizations. It is tracked monthly using KPIs such as revenue, cost of

goods sold, project lead and completion times and stock performance. Every good leader cares about the well-being of their employees. Still, it has been impossible to fully align these two conversations because key indicators are measured separately and infrequently. Hölmetrics brings both conversations into one conversation by allowing leaders to assess employee experience in real-time every day and determine the predictive correlation between employee experience and operational outcomes.
The idea of Hölmetrics first started in the summer of 2016 after Chad Verity experienced another bought of burnout, following another year of working as a youth worker on a public high school campus. Working for a non-profit, especially mentoring and facilitating extracurricular activities for teens, had been his life-long dream. Yet year after year, he began falling into an annual cycle of burnout followed by a months-long recovery process that included time with a professional psychologist.

Sitting in a psychologist’s office and glancing down at his phone, he asked the question, “If you looked closely enough at my life, could you see this coming? And if you saw this coming, could you prevent it from happening?”
The concept of predictive analytics in workplace well-being and mental health was the genesis for Hölmetrics years later. Fueled by thousands of conversations with people across the country, Hölmetrics has become the premier technology for assessing and improving the employee experience and connecting the dots between employee experience and operational outcomes. We empower leaders to create healthy, life-giving places to work that out-perform their competition by a ratio of 9:1 on the open market.1
